The choreography approaches the theme of borders. Movement, gestures and words deal at first with subdividing. The stage space is restricted and this osmosis intensifies to limit the other's range of action. The relationship between the performers persists even after creating a wall with the support of movable stage structures, a demarcation line which they occasionally cross. Am I on the wrong side? The question reflects a sensitive condition which can be encountered in "real" life. The change raises also a delicate emotional status not only in the individual but also in the group.
The different dynamics of the piece are supported by the musical score containing Pink Floyd's iconic songs

The performance, based on various versions of the ancient myth of Prometheus, translates into movement situations and issues, which from mythology are reflected in contemporary society. Prometheus is represented on stage by three performers who sometimes form a unit, while in others act independently. As in the essay by Albert Camus, Prometheus wants to free himself from a "mainstream" ideology or vision of the world. Different approaches on the rebellious side of the character, which pose resistance to authority, are depicted by dance and spoken texts. The choreographic composition contains an atmosphere full of contrasts between the inner calm of the reflection and the dynamic character of the act of taking decisions.

NEWEST PRODUCTION AND LIVE PERFORMANCE
subsTANZ is the label under which the choreographer Massimo Gerardi presents his new dance projects in the Free-Scene. Dealing with actual and relevant themes of our contemporary society, the productions range from creations for conventional stages to site-specific projects. Theme-linked research on movement and occasionally on the spoken word leads the choreographer Massimo Gerardi to stage situations which both capture and challenge the audiences. Since 2012 international dancers, composers and set/costume designers have been highlighted in manifold productions of subsTANZ which have been financed a.o. by Kulturstiftung des Freistaates Sachen, Amt für Kultur und Denkmalschutz Dresden and NPN Munich, in cooperation with museums, theatres, universities and production centres
